Mama’s Paper Plane

It’s few and far between that Ronnie and I get out these days for a date night. But on a rainy Fourth of July evening in our happy place, New Buffalo, Michigan, we were hit with the perfect storm: My parents wanted to babysit the girls, and we were all staying under one roof for the weekend, no one wanted to go out because of the downpour outside, except for Ronnie and I who were aching to get away, even if only for a few hours.

We went to Postboy, one of our favorite spots there and bellied up to the bar for some of our favs: cocktails, their fabulous Chicken Thighs and and their Halibut. Yum. We asked the bartender for his favorite drink NOT on the menu and he said “Easy. Paper Planes.” and from that day forward, I was obsessed. Thankfully, he also shared the recipe. Enjoy!
