What You’ll Need

  • 2 egg whites

  • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

  • Dash salt

How to Make

Preheat oven to 275°F

  • First, let’s make our egg custard.

    • Beat egg whites with cream of tartar and salt until stiff but not dry. Add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff after each addition.

  • Now, let’s prepare to bake.

    • Scoop into heaping mounds onto parchment-lined baking sheet.

  • Time to Bake!

    • Bake 40 to 60 minutes or until lightly browned. When they come out of the oven, remove at once from paper, and let cool on a plate.
